Chaperno trail
750 meters one way to a lookout over El Jobo bay and beach. Short, family-friendly, guided by local youth.
Chaperno Trail is part of ASCATUR’s ecotourism project at Coquito Beach, next to El Jobo. It runs 750 meters one way (1.5 km round trip) among chaperno, indio desnudo, jobo, madroño, and malinche trees, with birds and a lookout over the bay. Local youth trained with INA guide the walk.
How the day moves
- Start at the El Jobo tourism center.
- Interpretive walk of 750 m to the lookout.
- Return on the same trail.
